The Askari MasterCard and the Nexus Automotive (Pvt) Limited have signed an agreement at the Askari Bank office here on Thursday that will facilitate MasterCard-holders to get discount when they buy Chevrolet cars through this card.
The agreement was signed by Kalim-ur-Rehman, president, Askari Commercial Bank Limited and Muhammad Abdul Razzaq, chairman, Nexus. Waheed Zaman, head, Credit Card Division, Askari MasterCard and Salman Shoaib, Nexus and other senior management staff were present on the occasion.
The Askari Bank has also given a new dimension to the credit card shopping in Pakistan. Now the Askari Bank customers could buy automobiles through their Askari MasterCard credit cards. It, in the recent months, has reached many visionary deals with Paktel, Avari Hotels, Total Parco, Sabro, and E-Box that has been welcomed by the general public.
This pioneering role of the Askari MasterCard has attracted more than 185,000 members and it is continuing to grow. It has its Regional Card Centres at Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Peshawar and Multan, and expected centres in Faisalabad and Quetta soon.
The Bank has no joining fee and no annual fee for the majority of customers and a low service charges that has become a hallmark of its marketing strategy.
It also has the distinction of being the only Pakistani bank that has launched the Askari Platinum MasterCard. It offers international discounts at renowned hotels, stores, travel, yacht sailing & cruising, sports, and on leisure facilities.
The Nexus Automotive is the sole distributor of Chevrolet cars in Pakistan. The deal with MasterCard will enable the people to buy Chevrolet Optra car, a 1600 cc and the most popular car of the company. The Optra car offers quality, comfort, reliability and safety that comes after stringent crash tests. These qualities have endeared the car to the people within nine months of its introduction in Pakistan. The company has sold 500 Optra cars in this short period and offers dealer network in 10 major cities.
