To Honoured Guests, Delegates and Friends .On behalf of the ADASIA 05 Organising Committee and the various Associations, I extend a warm welcome to each and every one of you.
Those of us in the advertising and communications industry in Singapore have made extensive preparations since we won the bid at ADASIA 01 in Taipei to host this prestigious event. We hope that our efforts will result in a productive, enjoyable and memorable stay for you.
As you are aware, ADASIA 05 will be a learning conference based on the theme "winning in Asia". We have assembled numerous international experts, speakers, panelists and moderators to share their expertise on the various topics under three sub themes: "world to Asia". "Asia to Asia" and "Asia to the World".
During this three-day conference we hope that what will be shared here will help you and your organisations to formulate new strategies for a fast changing at the same time lucrative Asia.
We have also planned a full and interesting programme of social events for the Congress and hope that you will enjoy the wide variety of venues, foods and entertainment.
There will also be opportunities to network, relax and renew old acquaintances and make new friends. Being the melting pot of Asia, do take the time to soak in a kaleidoscope of ethnic cultures that Singapore can offer you.
For those accompanying the delegates, there will be a special programme to go sightseeing, visiting some of Singapore's unique attractions and shopping for bargains and more shopping until you drop.
After the Congress there will be a golf tournament for golfers, and for non-golfers, you may wish to make short trips to the neighbouring resorts in Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand to unwind.
And don't forget to also take time to visit our Exhibition with over 50 booths showcasing a wide variety of media, marketing, communications tools and related companies and businesses.
It is truly an honour to welcome you to Singapore. I hope that you will take away knowledge and experiences which not only will help you in your business but also fond memories of your time at ADASIA 05.
