Bus routes issues be put off till next month, Pakistan tells India

Pakistan has proposed to India that the trial run of the Lahore-Amritsar bus service be held on December 11-13 and technical talks on Nankana Sahib-Amritsar bus service on December 20-21.
Foreign Office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said on Monday.
Addressing the weekly briefing, she said the trial running and also the technical talks were earlier scheduled in October but had to be delayed due to the earthquake.
Answering a question, the spokesperson said Pakistan stands by its commitment to associate Kashmiris with the dialogue process for a sustainable resolution of the dispute, which should be acceptable to Pakistan, India and Kashmiris. Pakistan has not moved from its principled position of Kashmir solution under the UN Security Council resolution, she added.
When asked about proposal of demilitarisation of Kashmir and self-governance there made by President Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, Tasnim Aslam said Pakistan has not yet received any response from India on it. She, however, said that the parties concerned in case India responded to this proposal could discuss modalities.
To a question regarding Indian allegation of terrorism in occupied Kashmir, the spokesperson said Pakistan does not support terrorism or violence anywhere and condemns it. In fact "heavy presence of Indian forces in occupied Kashmir is triggering violence."
She said peace process between Pakistan and India is moving forward but its speed is not satisfactory, adding Pakistan wants to speed up this process to resolve all outstanding issues including Kashmir.
The spokesperson said this is difficult time for Kashmiris and the resolution of Kashmir issue at this time according to the wishes of Kashmiri people will be the best gift for them. She said out of the box thinking is required to move forward towards resolution of Kashmir dispute.
On a query, the spokesperson said that International Atomic Energy Agency's report on Iran's nuclear issue has not mentioned any Pakistani connection with it.
To another question, she said the donors' conference was a success and Pakistan was grateful to the international community for making pledges for the reconstruction and rehabilitation. She said there was need to turn the pledges into reality and materialising them for speedy reconstruction of quake-hit areas.
Tasnim Aslam said Azad Kashmir government was very much associated in the conference and it will be kept intact in the whole reconstruction process.
