Minister for Information and Broadcasting Sheikh Rashid Ahmed met Malaysian Information Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Kadir Sheikh Fadzir on the sidelines of 6th Ministerial meeting of Non-Aligned countries.
The meeting, which lasted about 30 minutes, covered various issues including joint co-operation and exchange of information.
Later, speaking to reporters, Abdul Kadir said Pakistan's Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on behalf of his government, expressed gratitude to Malaysia for its spontaneous aid to the Pakistanis, who were hit by the earthquake on October 8.
