A nine-member delegation comprising the office-bearers of a Peshawar-based social organisation - Movement of Inter-Faith Love and Peace - Milap, led by its Chairman James Cyprian, called on NWFP Governor Khalil-ur-Rehman at the Governor's House here on Wednesday and apprised him about the working of their organisation.
James Cyprian especially mentioned the services being rendered by them for the cause of humanity and welfare of the human beings, saying that their organisation comprising representatives from a cross section of the society were doing social work in order to ensure peace and harmony in the society. The organisation is a non-political and non-religious, he said.
The delegation members also claimed that they were doing valuable services to help the needy people in the quake-affected areas as well and so far they have dispatched three trucks load with relief goods.
Talking to the delegation, the governor appreciated the spirit of the members of the delegation and expressed the confidence that they would continue their services for the wellbeing of the people with much more spirit and enthusiasm remaining above from personal interests and considerations.
