Punjab Industries Minister, Mohammad Ajmal Cheema on Wednesday inaugurated TOTAL Parco "Bahoo Filling Station" here in Garden Town.
Gary Jones, Senior Vice President TOTAL Refining and Marketing, Asia, Emmanuel Laurenty, CEO TOTAL Parco Pakistan Ltd (TPPL), Gerhard Dekker, Commercial Director, the senior management of TPPL and others were also present on the occasion.
A prominent feature of the inauguration was the launch of "SunWash", the first solar-powered car wash facility in Pakistan.
SunWash is a unique way of harnessing solar energy to service cars. The participants were told that it is environmentally sound, as it functions through an alternative energy source; and thereby preserves important natural energy resources such as natural gas, electricity and water.
It also gives the car an immaculate shine and ensures complete removal of all oil and mud stains that a normal wash cannot remove.
TOTAL Parco Pakistan Limited, is a joint venture between TOTAL- the world's fourth largest oil company and PARCO- the largest and most modern refinery in Pakistan.
