The Balochistan National Party (BNP) has announced that it would observe protest day on November 28 against the arrest of workers of nationalist political parties and implicating them in false cases.
Speaking at a joint press conference at Karachi Press Club on Friday the parliamentary leader of BNP in National Assembly, Abdul Rauf Mengal, and the party's vice president Sajid Tareen, Advocate, said that demonstrations and public meetings would be held in all cities of Balochistan on Monday against these injustices.
They alleged that the people of Balochistan were not being given their due rights and the government was pushing the political workers to the wall, while they are struggling for their political rights.
They accused the government of carrying out search operation in Balochistan and arresting political workers from Turbat, Noshki, Dera Bugti, Kohlu, Sui and other areas of the province.
They said that the people of Balochistan "are patriotic and want to forge national harmony", but their genuine political and democratic struggle was being wrongly portrayed by the rulers.
They announced that a meeting of Balochistan National Party central committee would be held on December 3, 2005 at Karachi to discuss and finalise future strategy.
