Jamhoori Watan Party Deputy Secretary General Rauf Khan Sasoli has said that the present regime was repeating mistakes of the Bhutto era when a military operation was launched in Balochistan.
In his telephonic message Sasoli said that the rulers were trying to solve the Balochistan issue through baton instead of negotiations. He said that the government did not implement the recommendations of parliamentary committee headed by Mushahid Hussain.
He said that JWP chief Akbar Bugti was trying to unite all nationalist and political forces of the province under the banner of 'Baloch Single Nationalist Party' and has constituted a 'commission' for the purpose. Members of the 'commission', Shahid Bugti and Amanullah Kinrani, held initial meetings with Attaullah Khan Mengal.
He said Amanullah had been sent to Quetta to interact with various Baloch leaders like Humayun Khan Marri, Dr Abdul Hayee Baloch and Ghulam Muhammad Baloch. After these meetings, a conference of all leaders would be held in Quetta.
He said he was very hopeful of all Baloch leaders joining the new party. Sasoli said that after deploying a large number of troops in the area, the government was trying to find an excuse to launch another operation in Dera Bugti.
He said Bugti had held successful talks with various members of his own party as well as other Baloch nationalists, Khair Bakhsh Marri and Atta Ullah Mengal, in Karachi.
He expressed deep apprehensions about the latest developments in Dera Bugti, like 'threats' by commandant of troops and DCO Dera Bugti, specifically to the Hindu community, to vacate the area immediately.
