The French delegation, visiting Pakistan under the aegis of ADEPTA (French association for the development of international exchanges of food and agricultural products and technologies) will participate in a seminar jointly organised by the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Authority (Smeda) and the French Embassy on November 29.
According to Smeda, the delegation would look into the joint venture possibilities in the agriculture and agro-food business. While milk cooling, processing and new products for dairy and food segments (juices, purée, pastes), techniques for livestock and animal husbandry would be the main areas of discussions.
During the seminar member companies would also introduce their activities in the field of agriculture and food processing (dairy, fruit and vegetable oilseed and packaging).
Federal Minister for Industries, Production and Special Initiative, Jehangir Khan Tareen will inaugurate the seminar. Ambassador of France to Pakistan Régis de Belenet and Shahab Khawaja, Chief Executive Officer, Smeda would also attend the seminar.
The French delegation will leave for Karachi on December 01, where the similar sort of seminar would be inaugurated by the Federal Minister for Food, Agriculture and Livestock Sikandar Hayat Khan Bosan and the Consul General of France in Karachi Jean-Yves Berthault on December 02.
