World record holder Brian Lara is likely to make his final appearance in Australia on Friday in West Indies' match against the Prime Minister's XI in Canberra.
The 36-year-old, who surpassed Allan Border's record of 11,174 career test runs when he scored 226 in the first innings of the third test against Australia, was named on Thursday in the tourists' side for the one-day match. Australian test opener Justin Langer will captain the PM's XI. West Indies are not scheduled to tour Australia again until December 2008, when Lara will be 39.
