Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance Dr Salman Shah has said that the next National Finance Commission (NFC) Award will be announced soon.
In a press statement on the sidelines of the first national conference on industry, he said, the matter was deferred due to recent earthquake in the country. Now, a meeting would be summoned within shortest possible time to finalise this much-awaited award.
He was optimistic that all the provinces would reach an agreement, which would be to the benefit of all.
To a question, he said in case of failure to do so, President Musharraf's decision on award would be binding on all the provinces for acceptance.
