Ms Susan J Riggs, an official from the US Consulate, Islamabad on Saturday visited Defence School of Business Education (DSBE) in DHA here.
US Consulate Officer met the students whose admission had already been accepted by the US universities and were awaiting the USA student visa. She talked to the students about different requirements and procedures involved in getting the visa and gave them practical tips and useful first hand information in this regard.
The participants later got engaged into an interactive question answer session. The students asked various searching questions from the American diplomat and desired that the process for the grant of visa may be expedited by US Embassy so as to save the loss of their academic year.
Principal Defence School of Business Education, Tariq Kaleem, speaking on the occasion reiterated that Pakistani students were keen and had the potential to excel in research and academics at the foreign universities.
He advised the students to work with utmost devotion in their academic pursuits to bring a good name to their country.
At the end Director Education DHA, Brigadier Muzaffar-ul-Hassan (Retd), thanked the US Consulate Officer Ms Riggs for visiting the DHA institution and presented her a shield.
