A 35-member youth delegation was given a warm welcome when they landed into the capital Friday early morning on a weeklong goodwill visit.
According to Noureen Nazlee, the PPI special correspondent accompanying the delegation, the visit is taking place as a part of a programme of visits between the two countries, which was started in 2004.
The delegation was honoured with a largely attended lunch which was also attended among others by Pakistani Ambassador in China, Salman Bashir, the office bearers of the Chinese Youth Association, teachers and students of the Urdu department of Beijing University.
Speaking on the occasion Pakistani Ambassador, Salman Bashir said that such visits helped in promoting the mutual relations between the two countries in all fields of life. He further said that the visit would provide the opportunities to bring the Pakistani youth close to each other and take benefit from each other's experiences.
During their stay in China the delegation will visit a number of educational institutions in Beijing and Shangai.
