A 30-member Republic of Maldives squad flew into the city from Bangkok (Thailand) late on Saturday night to take part in South Asian Federation (SAF) Football Championship which goes into action from Wednesday.
As per South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) rules teams are entertained two days before the event but Maldives arrived two days earlier then scheduled.
However, Organising Secretary Agha Liaquat Ali said they have decided to provide them accommodation and complimentary stay for three extra-members.
