Organiser of the International Exhibition & Conference on Connectivity and IT, Pegasus Consultancy, has said leading international companies from over 12 countries have pledged to participate at the 3-day event.
According to a press release issued here on Monday, the exhibition will start from December 8 at the Karachi Expo Centre.
ConnectIT 2005 will feature an unrivalled participation of international call centres and software houses for the very first time in Pakistan, said the organiser, adding the foreign participation will trigger unprecedented investments in Pakistan's booming IT, telecom and business processes outsourcing (BPO) industry.
In addition to the exhibition, ConnectIT also features a two-day conference to be addressed by over 25 internationally acclaimed speakers, representing leading organisations from 8 countries.
The theme "Connecting IT & Telecom Technologies", participants will confer upon advancements in information communication technology (ICT) industry during the four sessions of its conduct.
Some of the key international participants at the conference include Asia Pacific Satellite Communication Council, Singapore, Technopreneurs Association of Malaysia, BBC Call Centre, United Kingdom, Call & Contact Association, UK and Hong Kong Call Centre Association.
Other countries being represented at the event include China, India, Spain, Turkey, UAE, Egypt and USA.
Federal Minister for IT & Telecom Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari, Minister of State for IT & Telecom Ali Asjad Malhi as well as City Nazim and former provincial IT minister Mustafa Kamal have also confirmed their visits to the exhibition in addition to numerous dignitaries from government and private sector, as well as foreign trade missions.
These high-profile visits to the exhibition, together with burgeoning international participation, endorse the significance of ConnectIT in highlighting Pakistan's potential for trade in hi-tech products and services.-PR
