District Nazim Jhang, Sultan Hameed has said that the exchange of delegations was vital for a better understanding between the peoples of Pakistan and India who shared the same culture and language, and also the same problems and issues of poverty, ignorance and disease.
He was addressing a reception meeting, which was arranged in the honour of a 46-member Indian delegation comprising admin officials, teachers and students of Delhi Public School, Faridabad, at the District Council Jhang, here last night. "People to people contacts are vital to create harmony and tolerance, and to help divert our resources from the culture of confrontation to tackle vital issues of health, education and socio-economic progress in the two countries," he observed.

The DN welcomed the Indian team who arrived here on December 3, and thanked them for the effusive warmth they had accorded the Pakistani delegation of Chenab College, Jhang during their visit to India earlier.
