Citizen Excelsior Watch Company has donated 1,000 tents for the homeless families of the earthquake tragedy on Thursday.
Hideaki Nakazaki, managing director of Citizen Watches in India, specially invited here to hand over the tents to the International Red Cross Pakistan (IRCP).
Eight hundred tents for the Indian occupied Kashmir and 200 tents for Azad Kashmir have been handed over to the IRCP, who with the collaboration of the Red Crescent Pakistan, has taken the responsibility to distribute them in the affected areas.
The IRCP-pledged relief efforts to provide assistance in cash and kind to the quake victims are continuing.
The IRCP vice-president, Shamim Kazmi, thanked Hideaki Nakazaki and J.M. Shahzada Citizen Watch Company (Pvt) Ltd for the assistance extended to the affected people, which Shamim Kazmi said, would help mitigate their sufferings in this cold season.
