Planning and Development Division has initiated a series of capacity building training courses for project directors in Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for effective implementation of development projects.
The first such course to strengthen this activity, a joint training course of Pakistan Planning and Management Institute (PPMI) will be organising in collaboration with the University of Manchester UK from 12 to 24 December 2005.
Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Dr M Akram Sheikh will inaugurate the first session, and will be conducted by Richard Bond, from University of Manchester UK having three decades of experience in training related to Project Management.
Twenty-five Senior Officers of BPS-20, drawn from major federal ministries relating to infrastructure, provincial P&D departments and Planning and Development Division will participate the course.
The first week's module of the course will cover Project Preparation and Appraisal and the second week's module will cover Project Implementation, Monitoring & Evaluation.
