Chairman Drug Court Punjab, while sentencing three-year rigorous imprisonment (RI) with a fine of Rs 100,000 to one Azhar Hussain Shah, has observed that the culprit was the master mind and responsible for manufacturing and supply of spurious drugs.
The court headed by Justice (Retd) Bashir A Mujahid also convicted Nawazish Ali, co-accused, with one year and fine of Rs 25,000.
The court held that manufacturing and supply of spurious drugs was on rise playing havoc with the health of innocent people. All those involved in this crime deserve no leniency.
