Deputy Speaker, NWFP Assembly Ikramullah Shahid on Saturday claimed that the forward bloc has mustered the full support of 25 members of provincial assembly.
"The objective of the Forward bloc is to guide the MMA government and its formation is in accordance with the real essence of democratic norms," he told reporters at Mardan Press Club.
Flanked by JUI (F) MPA Maulana Israrul Haq Haqqani, Deputy Speaker however, said that the forward bloc would not affect the process of democracy.
"The members of the bloc should present their demands with full force so that the provincial government accept them and deprivation of people can come to an end," he remarked.
"The forward bloc is a force and its powers cannot be ignored or over looked," he remarked. Maulana Israrullah MPA also supported the formation of forward bloc and termed that it would create positive impacts in the overall performance of the MMA government. He termed the formation of the forward bloc is in the interest of the people of the province.
