Punjab Minister for Baitul Maal Mian Ijaz Shafi on Sunday said that the district government had dispatched 175 truckloads for the rehabilitation of earthquake affected people.
Talking to APP here, the minister said that Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and the cabinet had appreciated the sprit of the people of Rahim Yar district for helping quake-hit people.
He said that 140 truckloads were donated by the district government while 35 truckloads were collected by Non-Governmental Organisation (NGOs).
He expressed the hope that the people of the district will continue to help the victims of the quake-hit till their complete rehabilitation.
He said that Punjab Chief Minister's " Support a family" programme has been widely appreciated by the nation and international community.
