The election schedule of District Bar Association Rawalpindi for the year 2006 has been announced and the polling was set on January 7, 2006.
Announcing the schedule Malik Muhammad Rafiq said the final list of voters will be placed on December 15. Nomination papers would be received on December 17 while the final list of the contesting candidates will be published on December 19.
He said that the objections will be received on 20th of the current month and the withdrawal of the nomination papers would be on December 21 and 22, while the conclusive list of the candidates will be publicised on December 23.
Malik Rafiq said that the polling will be held on January 7 from 8 am to 4 pm without any break in the premises of lower court complex.
Besides Malik Rafiq, the Chairman Election Commission, the other members of the election board for the polls are Ibadur Rehman Lodhi and Muhammad Ilyas Shiekh. Malik Khalid Mehmood, Abid Raja and Chaudhry Asif Lakhan will assist the board.
