Myanmar has donated syringes and medicines valuing $200,000 for the victims of the October 8 earthquake. The Ambassador of Myanmar to Pakistan, U Maung Nyo, formally handed over the donation to M. Akhtar Tufail, Additional Secretary for Asia and Pacific Region, Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday.
Myanmar leadership, including Senior-General Tan Shwe, chairman, State Peace and Development Council, General Soe Win, prime minister; and U. Nayan Win, minister for foreign affairs had earlier sent messages of condolence to their Pakistani counterparts.
