Pakistan thrashed India by a three-zero margin in an internationalvolleyball mach played at Talab Maula Bux here on Monday afternoon. From the outset, Pakistan maintained a dominating position and fished the winners with a scoreline of 28-26, 25-21 and 23-19 in three sets.
Sialkot district Nazim Muhammad Akmal Cheema and Tehsil Nazim Sialkot Imtiaz-ud-Dar were the chief guests on the occasion. Besides, the official of Indian volleyball association and large number of people witness match.
The additional Inspector General Police Indian Punjab Mr Rajan Guppta while talking to reporters said that the representation of India and Pakistan in international volleyball matches is at lowest ebb. Keeping in view the gravity of the situation both India and Pakistan had for holding matches between the two countries he said. Guppta added that it is heartening to note that Pakistani team had considerably improved its game and with the passage of time they woulde further improve their game and overcome the lapses.
The mutual matches of volleyball and other sports would help improve the general relations between the two countries but provide support for improving especially the volleyball game and pave the way for the participation of India and Pakistan in international events.
Later, district and tehsil nazims presented the prizes and shields to the winners and runners-up.
