The civil and military hospitals of Rawalpindi have received about 12,300 quake affected injured people who were provided medical facilities in these hospitals besides making sure the mental rehabilitation of these survivors of the devastating earthquake of October 8.
According to details as many as 12,222 injured people from Azad Jammu Kashmir and Hazara Division of NWFP were brought in 9 civil and military hospitals of Rawalpindi after October 8. Out of total 12,222, 11,293 were discharged from these hospitals after completion of their treatment. The people who were discharged from the hospitals were sent to different tent cities in twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad for providing them shelter. At present there are 801 injured people under treatment in Rawalpindi hospitals, while 128 people have passed away.
Military Hospital Rawalpindi has received 889 injured people out of which 763 were discharged and sent to relief camps after completion of medical treatment. 104 people are still in the hospital receiving medical care while 32 people in Military hospital have passed away.
CMH Rawalpindi has received 3,503 injured people out of whom 3,303 have been discharged after completion of treatment and 200 are still in the hospital.
Cantonment General Hospital Rawalpindi has received 892 injured people from quake hit areas out of which 839 were discharged while 53 are still being treated in the hospital.
Fauji Foundation Hospital has received 314 injured people out of whom 8 have died and 272 have been discharged and sent to rehabilitation camps. 34 injured people are still in the hospital and receiving medical treatment.
Transit Camp Hospital Rawalpindi has received 1,149 injured people from the affected areas out of which 1,143 have discharged and shifted to different tent settlements in the twin cities while 6 are still under treatment.
Romi Park temporary hospital established after October 8 earthquake has received 127 injured people from affected areas out of which 84 were discharged and sent to camps and 43 are still under treatment in this hospital.
Rawalpindi General Hospital received 2,548 injured people after October 8 earthquake out of which 2,399 were discharged after giving them proper medical treatment. 120 injured people are still in the hospital receiving medical treatment. 877 injured people were operated in the hospital while 29 have lost their lives in this hospital.
Holy Family Hospital received 2,015 injured people out of which 1,855 were discharged after giving them medical treatment. 124 injured people are still admitted in the hospital while 26 have died.
District Headquarter Hospital received 975 injured people out of which 825 were discharged after treatment. 117 injured people from quake hit areas are still admitted in the hospital while 33 died in the hospital.
