Ufone and Nadra have signed an agreement by which Nadra would provide services for CNIC verification and bill payment to more than 3.5 million Ufone customers.
Ufone customers would now be able to use Nadra's "Bill Payment Machines" for payment of their post-paid cell phone bills and obtain pin code for pre-paid scratch cards.
According to the agreement, Ufone would have its existing CNIC/NIC database verified by Nadra and would also utilise its online verification system for verification of new customers' CNIC details.
This agreement between Ufone and Nadra would facilitate citizens in obtaining pin code for scratch cards of Pre Paid connections and bills on post-paid connections. Besides the Nadra Bill Payment Machines, Ufone has nation-wide network of Franchises and Sales and Service Centers for catering to all cellular needs with complete solutions.
Nadra has already installed around 40 machines in Karachi and Islamabad while the number will grow to 500 machines by June 2006. By March 2006 Nadra will add Sargodha, Multan, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Peshawar into its bill payment machine network.
Nadra has already signed MoU for usage of these machines by customers of Sui Southern and Sui Northern gas companies, Islamabad and Karachi Electric supply corporations besides Instaphone and Warid Telecom.
