MIS training course for court personnel held

Certificate awarding ceremony on the conclusion of three-week Management Information System (MIS) training course for court personnel and ministerial staff was held here at the Federal Judicial Academy on Sunday.
Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani, Supreme Court judge who is also Jude-In charge of the FJA, was the chief guest on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani said: "Technology is only a means to an end; it is not an end in itself. The goal is justice at all times."
Expressing his optimism about the output of the course he said that this training would not only make the participants more productive in their professional duties but also make them an efficient and effective part and parcel of legal and judicial system. Quoting the glorious tradition of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) he said: "A moment of justice delivered is far better than thousands of nights of worship" he added that administration of justice was a sacred mission and it was a matter of honour for all of you (participants) to be linked with this common bond of administering justice to the people.
In his discourse with the participants he opined that Information Technology (IT) had changed the way we work. It had changed the way citizens approach legal matters. But we must be prepared to take the next step of using it to harvest relevant information in a timely manner.
The learned Judge evinced keen interest in putting all judicial and legal libraries that of Supreme Court of Pakistan, Federal Shariah Court, all the four High Courts, and others connected on-line to cultivate research culture among the legal and judicial fraternity.
Earlier, Moazzam Hayat director general of the Academy presented an overview of the course and said that this programme addressed many of the issues that contribute to judicial excellence, including improved skills in case management, budgeting, technology and human resources. Director General appreciated the spirit and struggle of duo-Computer Instructors namely Muhammad Ali and Tariq Aziz who made the training programme a success story.
Fifteen officers and members of staff hailing from the Federal Shariah Court, Accountability Courts, ombudsman Secretariat and FJA were awarded certificates.
