Former president of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Riaz Ahmed Tata was laid to rest at Gizri graveyard on Tuesday.
His Namaz-e-Janaza was held at Sultan Masjid, Defence, which was attended by a large number of his relatives, members of business community and friends.
Tata leaves behind a widow and three sons, Asif Riaz, Saquib Riaz and Masood Riaz to mourn his death. FPCCI office-bearers including its president, vice-presidents and members of the managing committee have expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of Riaz Ahmed Tata.
In a condolence message, they praised services rendered by late Tata to the business community, sympathised with members of the bereaved family and prayed for the salvation of the departed soul.
Haroon Farooki, president; Abdul Majeed Memon, SVP; Muhammad Naqi Bari, KCCI VP along with Siraj Kassam Teli, M. Zubair Motiwala, Tahir Khaliq, Anjum Nisar in a joint statement condoled the demise of Tata.
They eulogised laudable services of Tata, which he rendered to the business community and the community in his capacity as president of the KCCI and FPCCI.
They prayed to Almighty Allah that his soul may rest in eternal peace and bestow fortitude on members of the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss. Chairman, Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (Kati) Gulzar Feroz and former chairman, KATI, S.M. Munir also condoled Tata's death.
