Six companies on Tuesday showed interest to launch another modern and economical radio cab service in the capital, said Islamabad Capital Territory's spokesman.
The offers were made by these companies in a meeting of Islamabad Transport Authority, presided over by the Chief Commissioner, Islamabad, Khalid Pervez, the spokesman added.
The companies showed interest in launching cab service and gave a detailed briefing to the chief commissioner. Secretary Transport Authority, Malik Afsar Khan, informed the meeting that companies fulfilling the criteria would be eligible to ply 50 vehicles each. These air conditioned and CNG fitted cabs would have digital meters, low calling charges and fares, he added.
