Chief of Staff of Malaysian Armed Forces, V.A Datomat Rabi Bin Abdu Samah met Federal Relief Commissioner Major General Farooq Ahmad Than here on Tuesday.
The Commissioner briefed the visiting dignitary about the efforts made for relief and rehabilitation in the earthquake affected areas of Northern Pakistan. "We value the support and enthusiasm of the world community which stood by our side in this hour of trial," the Relief Commissioner said.
The Malaysian Chief of Staff inquired about the Malaysian Hospital working at Batagram in NWFP, said a press release.
He was told that the field hospital had been very effective and rendering valuable support to the quake-hit people of the area.
General Farooq requested for extension in the working of the field hospital so that local population could continue to benefit from the services.
