Federal Minister for Information Technology Owais Ahmed Leghari on Friday alleging Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and Punjab PML leadership said they were injuring the party interests for their own gains.
"We will not allow them to destroy the party," Leghari said while talking to journalists here after his arrival from Lahore. A hissing sound of revolt is echoed among the lines of ruling PML from the side of Legharis.
"We are in deep contact with forward block and discussions, understandings with them are underway," he revealed.
The party interests should not be sacrificed upon personal interests; he advised and appealed to the party senior leadership to promote committed workers, who are the real assets of the party.
Leghari said, Punjab chief minister's policy was against the interest of party. Partial attitude was reflected in the last local bodies elections in which the Punjab party leadership promoted such persons, who were not committed with the party cause.
"It might be in the interest of Chaudharis themselves," he commented.
It is worth mentioning here that Sardar Farooq Leghari's son Jamal Khan Leghari has lost the Dera Ghazi Khan district nazimship recently in the LG polls.
Despite the fact that Leghari merged his Millat Party, along with elected MNAs and MPAs with the ruling PML he faced a tough time and saw a defeat of his son in the district politics.
Riaz Pirzada has formed a forward block in PML following raising complaints against Chaudhris and developing differences with party policy. The Punjab PML leadership seriously ignoring two districts including Dera Ghazi Khan and Rajanpur of South Punjab and promoting such persons, who can not be loyal with the party in present situation.
