Activists of different religious parties on Friday held a rally under the auspices of 'Defaai Islam Mahaz' against the provocative propaganda by some elements of a banned religious organisation against the Muslims in Khyber Agency.
The rally was taken out from Data Darbar after Juma prayers, in which activists of Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan, Tehreek Mushaikh Ahle Sunnat Pakistan, Tehreek Defaai Ahle Sunnat Pakistan and Anjuman Talba Pakistan participated.
Allama Muhammad Shahzad Mujaddi, Maulana Abid Hussain Saifi, Dr Muhammad Sarfraz Naeemi, Pir Afzal Qadri, Shabbir Ahmad Nizami and Iftikhar Ahmad Bhatti of Karachi, while addressing the rally participants, demanded of the government to register case against Munir Shakir under Section 297-C and also book him. They further said that some elements of banned organisation are creating law and order problem by using objectionable remarks against the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him). They said the government must take immediate notice of the situation, which is becoming sensitive in the Agency day by day.
