The hearing of criminal revision application filed on behalf of Asif Ali Zardari, spouse of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, impugning an order of trial court in Mir Murtaza Bhutto murder case was put off till Thursday by a bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) here on Wednesday.
District and Sessions Judge, East, Zafar Ahmed Khan Shewrani, a fortnight back, dismissed an application moved by Barrister Azizullah K. Shaikh, counsel for Asif Zardari accused in murder case of Mir Murtaza Bhutto and seven others, seeking exemption from appearance before the trial court.
When the revision application came up for hearing, Muhammad Farooq advocate, junior of Ilyas Khan, Special Public Prosecutor (SPP), informed the bench that SPP was not in city and hearing be adjourned.
The bench allowing the request put off hearing till Thursday morning.
