The Capital Development Authority has approved allotment of a plot to Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council (PVMC) in Islamabad, a CDA Director said on Wednesday. Measuring 100 x 14 square meters the plot is in what is known as "mauve area" of sector G-10/4.
The Director, who is in charge of urban planning, said that the CDA Board in its 32nd meeting this year on Wednesday, sanctioned the plot for the PVMC to construct its building.
The PVMC had applied for the land in July this year and it was asked to fulfil the allotment requirements. The CDA Director said the PVMC got initial approval from its parent ministry.
It is a non-commercial plot and the council has adequate funds for the construction of the building, he said.
The CDA Board also reviewed the progress on the ongoing development projects and decided to speed up the process of awarding contracts. Private companies have been short-listed and asked to show potential in respect of financial and labour capacity for development of I-15 sector.
A contract for setting up a plant to dispose of compost or organic waste, will also be awarded next week along with other contracts, the official said.
