As a gesture of solidarity with the quake survivors, the Traders Association of Islamabad has assured the district administration to close their shops by 10:30 pm on December 31.
The representatives of the Traders Association of the federal capital conveyed to the district administration of their decision in a meeting held in the Deputy Commissioner's Office on Thursday.
According to ICT spokesman, the hotels of Islamabad would show the same spirit on New Year's eve. The district administrations would ensure there are no traffic congestion on roads or at shopping centers.
The spokesman said the Deputy Commissioner has issued a detailed contingency plan to ensure security and smooth flow of traffic on all roads and major shopping areas.
