The Karachi Port handled 87,341 tonnes of cargo including 43,566 tonnes import and 43,775 tonnes export cargo including 3,576 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Friday.
The cargo comprised of 85,041 tonnes dry cargo including 50,058 tonnes general cargo; 7,524 tonnes fertiliser; 10,824 tonnes rice; 11,477 tonnes coal; 3,838 tonnes steel/scrap; 1,320 tonnes sulpher and 2,300 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.
Eight ships namely Iran Baabaei, Satha Bum, Apl Orchid, Fu Nui Shan, YM Fortune, Cape Scott, NMT Elise and Mirinda Rose sailed out to sea during the report period.
Seven vessels viz Iran Baabaei, Apl Orchid, Mearsk Alaska, NMT Elise, Hazal Ace, Mol Asante and Padang Halaban are currently at the berths.
Four ships namely Hazal Ace, Mearsk Alaska, Inca Maiden and Kota Tampan expected to sail on Friday, while six more vessels viz Padang Halaban, MT Khairpur, San Hope, George Lyras, Mol Asante and Conti Harmony are expected to sail on Saturday.
Three ships namely Gulf Dove, Asdrubai and United Prosperity due to arrive on Friday, while four more vessels viz Beta Tank, Kota Jasa, Golden Sky and Marine Champion are due to arrive on Saturday.

PORT QASIM

A total cargo volume of 58,990 tonnes comprising 43,231 tonnes import and 15,759 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 1,878 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Friday.
The cargo comprised of 3,600 tonnes diesel oil; 4,436 tonnes seeds; 11,159 tonnes wheat; 7,869 tonnes chemicals and 31,926 tonnes containerised cargo.
Three ships namely CV Contship Tamarind, London Senator and MT Al-Maqwa sailed out to sea during the report period, while another ship CV MSC Brianna is expected to sail on Friday.
A total of five vessels viz Golden Star, MSC Corinna, MSC Deila, Warbah and Sea Queen are currently at the outer anchorage.
Three ships namely MSC Corinna, Sea Queen and Warbah due to take berths on Friday.
Three vessels viz CV Mare Gallicum, MT Gulf Dove and MV Al-Brella due to arrive to load/offload containers, rice and edible oil on Friday, while three more ships namely CV Oocl Ambition, Bermudian Express and MT Al-Marwah with chemicals and containers are due to arrive on Saturday.
