Projects monitoring teams of Planning Commission will submit their reports on progress of the various projects under Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) in the second week of January.
The teams have started evaluation of the various projects above Rs 200 million from December 25 which will continue till 7th January 2006, sources in the Commission told Business Recorder on Friday.
The Commission reviews quarterly all the development projects under PSDP but in the first quarter, it merely did a desk-monitoring of these projects.
It is the first on-site monitoring and evaluation of the projects during the current fiscal and on its findings, the slow moving projects would not be provided further funds, the sources added.
The amount withdrawn from the slow-moving projects would be either shifted to the other on-going or new developmental projects, they said.
The review meeting of these development projects would start soon after the receipt of monitoring reports.
In current fiscal year, Rs 272 billion have been allocated for the PSDP and there were about 1300 development projects undertaken under this programme.
