At the invitation of Professor Dr Atta-ur-Rahman, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Science and Technology and chairman Higher Education Commission (HEC), a high-profile six-member delegation, led by Professor Dr Elizabeth Gehrer, Minister for Science & Education, Austria, will arrive on a five-day visit to Pakistan from Sunday (January 1).
A statement issued by the HEC on Saturday said that during its stay, the delegation will visit several universities and institutions of higher learning of Pakistan and will discuss the possibilities of mutual academic
collaboration between Austria and Pakistan.
In the recent past, Professor Dr Atta-ur-Rahman took this initiative and held several meetings with senior Austrian academicians and government officials to develop academic ties between the topmost Austrian and Pakistani universities.
