Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Tuesday said Pakistan offered numerous opportunities for investment in new sectors, providing lucrative returns. He was talking to Minister for Education of UAE Shaikh Nehyan Bin Mubarak Al-Nehyan at Sardar Garh near Sukkur.
The prime minister was on a daylong visit to Sukkur, Sardar Garh and Khan Garh and was accompanied by Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad and Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim.
Talking to the UAE minister, the prime minister said Pakistan and the UAE were bound together in centuries-old historic, cultural and religious ties.
He said both the countries stood by each other through thick and thin and their close and cordial relations would grow from strength to strength in the days to come.
Shaukat, while referring to the long-term structural reforms, consistency, continuity and transparency of policies said, these have turned Pakistan into an attractive destination for investors.
He said it was the most favourable time to invest in Pakistan as the middle-class was growing with increasing purchasing power, while the demand for goods and services was increasing.
He said the government has provided a level playing field to the local as well as foreign investors and urged foreign investors to avail of the attractive opportunities.
The UAE minister commended the economic reforms and said real estate, telecom, banking, hotel industry and energy sector offer lucrative opportunities for investment.
He said Pak-UAE relations were long-lasting and the UAE businessmen have shown their strong inclination to invest in various fields. Later, the UAE minister hosted a lunch for the prime minister in the traditional Arab style.
