ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for IT Anusha Rehman here Wednesday said that Korean Exim Bank would establish IT Park in the federal capital.
According to Press Release, A delegation of Korean Eximbank's who have conducted feasibility study for the first purpose built IT park in Islamabad, called on the Minister Anusha Rehman and shared in detail the salient features, models and proposed designs along with other technical aspects for the building of first IT park in Pakistan.
Federal Secretary IT Rizwan Bashir Khan and senior officials from Ministry of IT and PSEB were also present in the meeting.
Minister welcomed the Korean delegation to MoIT and shared with them ministry's vision to provide good infrastructure to the IT industry to leverage the full potential of Pakistan's IT talent.
She said that IT park will provide a whole ecosystem including affordable space to IT companies along with power, bandwidth, and linkages between industry and academia.
IT park in Islamabad will be followed by two more parks at Lahore and Karachi subsequently.
Anusha Rehman while talking to the delegates said that it is our government's vision and mission to launch state-of-the-art IT parks in Pakistan at the earliest to provide an eco-system for the IT industry of Pakistan.
Therefore, she stressed the Korean team to expedite the work on establishment of first state of the art IT Park.
Moreover, there is a huge requirement for state-of-the-art infrastructure in Pakistan from the IT industry so that companies can upscale their resources and capacity and Pakistan can achieve its real potential in the global IT industry, minister added.
