The Karachi Port handled 70,837 tonnes of cargo including 48,165 tonnes import and 22,672 tonnes export cargo including 5,121 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday.
The cargo comprised of 70,837 tonnes dry cargo including 62,015 tonnes general cargo; 1,180 tonnes sugar; 5,789 tonnes rice; 1,097 tonnes cement and 756 tonnes bitumen.
Four ships namely Orient Independence, Selcon, Song Yun He and Larymna sailed out to sea during the report period.
Six vessels viz Satha Bhum, Apl Pusan, Sinar Bontang, Asphit Merchant, Thor Captain and Kota Wangi are currently at the berths.
Five ships namely Sea Brilliance, Apl Pusan, Banglar Gourab, Kota Mesra and Satha Bhum expected to sail on Wednesday, while three vessels viz Kota Wangi, Global Princess and Hyundai Stride are expected to sail on Thursday.
Four ships namely Fairchem Mustang, Delfinaki, Hyundai Stride and Pacific Express due to arrive on Wednesday, while five vessels viz MT Shalamar, Golden Express, Orionis, Fu Yu Shan and Rickmers Mumbai are due to arrive on Thursday.
The cargo comprised of 49,420 tonnes diesel oil; 6,520 tonnes edible oil; 250 tonnes carbon oil; 6,144 tonnes seeds; 4,492 tonnes wheat; 14,359 tonnes iron ore and 33,932 tonnes containerised cargo.
Three ships namely CV Msc Aurora, MT Amanat and Docomo sailed out to sea during the report period, while three more vessels viz CV Sealand Mariner, Asian Trader and MT Gulf Horizon are expected to sail on Wednesday.
A total of seven vessels viz Asian Trader, Cma Cgm Kingston, Elka Vassilika, Tai King, Multan, Banglar Mookh and Giovanni Dellia are currently at the outer anchorage.
Three ships namely CV Asian Trader, Cma Cgm Kingston and MT Elka Vassilika due to take berths on Wednesday.
MT Keefan with diesel oil due to arrive on Wednesday, while another ship CV Ibn sina is due to arrive on Thursday.
