The event would be inaugurated by Higher Education Commission Chairman and Advisor to Prime Minister of Pakistan on Science and Technology Dr Atta-ur-Rehman, stated World Learning Bureau Director Rashid-ul-Haq at a briefing here on Tuesday.
He said: "Such exhibitions are source of inspiration and assistance in building up greater awareness of the important role of education in our life. It is a monumental task for any organisation to undertake.
"This exhibition provides a valuable forum for all to not only collect information on a wide variety of programs but also to meet face to face those involved in these disciplines. It gives a unique opportunity to obtain up-to-date information of the educational programs available into various universities and colleges," he added.
This would be more than just an education fair, as key participants and leading figures from the field of education will gather together and a considerable exchange of ideas and information will take place.
Thousands of students and their families will meet with prestigious education providers from UK, Ireland, Canada, Cyprus, Australia, Turkey, North Cyprus, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia and Pakistan as well.
More than 70 international universities have already been confirmed their participation and another 60-70 local representation are done. More than 20,000 visitors include young and senior students, educationist and other related people are expected under one roof.
The event has been supported by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), government of Pakistan, Sindh and Punjab education departments, while British Deputy High Commission in Karachi, officials of the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise and Royal Thai Consulate General have endorsed the 16th education exhibition.-PR
