Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Thursday emphasised upon the need for timely completion of development projects in Balochistan, as the government is committed to improving the standard of living of the people.
The prime minister was talking to Balochistan Governor Owais Ahmad Ghani, who called on him at the Prime Minister Secretariat. Shaukat said the government is committed to dealing with the law and order situation in Balochistan through political means, adding, but no one can be allowed to challenge the writ of the government in the province.
The Balochistan governor apprised the prime minister of the steps being taken by the provincial government to restore peace and calm in the province. He also informed the prime minister about the implementation pace of various development projects in Balochistan.
The prime minister said certain elements are not happy with the socio-economic projects initiated by the government in Balochistan to improve lot of the people.
