The Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court (LHC) has constituted a division bench headed by Sheikh Abdul Rashid to dispose of a petition filed by a PPPP candidate Dr Israr Hussain in Senate polls who had challenged the acceptance of nomination papers of a PML candidate Haroon Akhtar Khan, brother of Federal Minister Humayun Akhtar Khan.
The bench will take up the petition on March 06 for its disposal in accordance with the law. The petitioner counsel Mian Hanif Tahir also filed another petition before the LHC praying for immediate hearing of the case, as the Senate elections are scheduled for March 06.
