US benchmark coffee futures slid 1.8 percent on Thursday, weighed down by light speculative and fund selling from the benchmark contract's two-week peak hit the previous session, traders said.
The NYBOT's active arabica contract for May delivery fell 2.05 cents to conclude at $1.12 per lb, after trading from $1.1160 to $1.1430 a lb. July declined 2.10 cents to settle at $1.1455, while back months lost 1.50 to 2.35 cents.
