Pakistan International Airline's Boeing long-range aircraft (777-200LR) on Friday left here for Toronto (Canada) on its maiden non-stop flight for the destination.
The aircraft carrying 220 passengers onboard left Islamabad at 1245 hours and will reach Toronto in 14 hours without having any stopover en-route said Manager Public Relations PIA Muhammad Latif.
He said the flight is being operated by Captain Sarwar Hayat and Captain Tariq Majeed.
The Boeing Company had handed over this newly built aircraft to PIA on Sunday. This same aircraft had set a world record of non-stop test flight of 23.45 hours to have entries in the Guinness Book of World Records.
