British parliamentarian, Lord Alex Carlile along with his delegation called on Federal Minister for Law, Justice and Human Rights Wasi Zafar here on Friday. During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on anti-terrorism laws in their countries.
The minister told the delegation about various anti-terrorism laws, the anti terrorism court structure and trial system prevalent in Pakistan. Wasi Zafar further said that courts are working independently and effectively and enough powers have been given to the courts to ensure their effectiveness. Secretary Law, Justice and Human Rights, Justice Mansoor Ahmed (Retd) was also present on the occasion.
