Former Prime Minister and Chairperson PPP Benazir Bhutto has condemned the suicide bomb blast in Karachi on Thursday resulting in the death of four people including a US diplomat and called for arrest of the masterminds and to bring them to justice.
The suicide attack in Karachi is an act of terror that is denounced in the strongest possible terms, said Benazir in a statement issued here on Friday. The increasing incidents of suicide attacks in Pakistan are indeed alarming, she said.
The ease with which terrorists strike at a time and place of their choosing despite regime's vows to international community to root out terrorism gives rise to the suspicion that it is running with the hare and hunting with the hound in its claims to fight against terror.
The former Prime Minister recalled that the regime claimed to have arrested the attackers on the convoy of Corps Commander Karachi last year and expressed the hope that the masterminds behind the Karachi suicide attacks would also be apprehended.
It is critical for the credibility of the claims to fight against terror that the culprits are arrested and brought to justice at the earliest, she said.
Benazir Bhutto also expressed deepest condolences to all those who lost their lives in the attack and prayed for the early recovery of those injured.
