Punjab chief minister in a meeting here on Friday has decided to provide half a million poor families of Punjab two 2 kg packs of sugar at the cost of Rs 20 per kilogram. Chief Secretary Salman Siddiq and others were also present on the occasion.
The chief minister said that sugar mills would supply sugar at the cost of Rs 25 per kilogram to the province, which then would give Rs five per kilo subsidy to poor families while supplying to them two sugar packs.
