Promising a second "green revolution," US President George W. Bush announced Friday an investment of 130 million dollars to boost Indian agriculture and biotechnology as he wrapped up a visit here.
"By working together, the United States and India will develop better ways to grow crops and get them to market and lead a second green revolution," said Bush in a speech from a medieval fort in New Delhi.
"This initiative will invest 100 million dollars to encourage exchanges between American and Indian scientists and to promote joint research to improve farming technology," said Bush, wrapping up a three-day visit to India.
